Port in northern Sri Lanka.East area 5, maximum draught 8.23 meters.The loading density of water is 1025.The tidal range is 1.83M.Southwest monsoon and northeast monsoon prevailed.The port is managed by trauls of kankaisangtula port, with compulsory pilotage. Through VHF channels 11 and 16, it can contact with the port authorities on entry and exit matters, port holidays, working hours and vessel arrival documents. The requirements refer to the port of Colombo. There are no ship repair and dry dock facilities, no fuel supply, fresh water, supplies, medical services, tugboat towing and sewage disposal.When entering the port through St. Peter's waterway, the water depth varies from 11.9 m to 16.5 m, but in some places, the water depth is only 8.5 M. during the southwest monsoon period, the water depth of the open anchorage near the coast is 9.15 m in February or March October.Ships should not anchor on the polluted seabed west of the lighthouse.
