Overview:
Port of Lota is a Chilean port. The time zone adopts five-zone time. The maximum draft allowed for the vessel is 8.72 meters. The load density of water is 1025. The average tidal range is 0.95 meters. The prevailing wind is to the southwest. Ships entering and leaving the port area must be piloted. Both the navigator and the port master live in Talcahuano. The operation time of the port area is determined by the arrangement. The port has a mechanized coal terminal with a length of 200 meters, a front water depth of 8.84 meters, and a coal loading efficiency of 300 tons per hour. There is fresh water supply at the terminal, but no fuel supply. The port area provides service facilities such as medical conditions, transportation of steamboats, food supplies, minor ship repairs, and repatriation.
