In a prime location in the heart of Chile’s mining area, Puerto Angamos is located in the town of Mejillones, 1,400 kilometers from Santiago and only 65 kilometers from Antofagasta.
Its geographical position is superior, close to the most important copper area in the world, including world-renowned mineral deposits, such as Chuquicamata, Escondida copper mine, Spence, Radomiro Tomic, El Abra, El Tesolo and so on.
This is also an area of great commercial importance in Paraguay's Salta in Argentina and Asuncion, thus forming the integrated zone of Sudamericano (ZICOSUR) within walking distance.
Mejillones Bay offers unique conditions to prevent storms from the natural protection from the surge in southern Chile. At the same time, its deep water ensures the availability of anchors and safe work.
There are quick connections to visit major mining operations and ports in Chile, Argentina and Bolivia by trains and trucks without the need to travel through densely populated areas.
