Port of Gregorio (CL) is located on the southeast coast of the town of Gregorio in the south of Chile.
The maximum draft is 12.80 meters, and the load density of water is 1025.The tidal range is 1.67 meters, and southwest wind prevails.Compulsory pilotage of foreign vessels must be arranged through Punta Arenas port.The communication is via the walkie talkie of the inspector of Argentinean oil company.The port is located in the Strait of Magellan and must abide by the regulations of the Strait.Working hours last 24 hours a day.Due to the influence of strong alternating tides, ships can only be moored at low tide.Port service facilities include: boats, medical treatment, traction, sewage, fresh water, no ship repair, fueling, dry dock, supplies and repatriation.The dock in the port can dock 75000 DWT, 650m long, ships with draught below 12.80m, and two 406.4mm diameter oil pipes extending from shore to sea for 1200m.The pump station can deliver 1700 cubic meters of oil per hour.There are five oil storage tanks on shore, with a total capacity of 490000 barrels, supplying various kinds of fuel oil through oil pipes.There are no water pipes on the wharf, but if necessary, they can be supplied by water barges of 100 tons each time.Supplies must be ordered from Ponta arenas.
