Overview:

      A small port city in southern Iran on the North Bank of the west entrance of the Strait of Hormuz. It once occupied an important position in ancient times. It is now the Pearl mining center with an airport. The coastal highway leads to Abas port in the East, Bushehr port in the West and shilaz in the north.
