Overview:
Pakistan harbour. Located in the lower reaches of the fitigli River, the west side of the Indus River Delta in the south of the country, about 13 nautical miles from the Karachi line in the northwest, it is the second largest port in Pakistan, mainly for Karachi steel plant and for the domestic import and export goods of Pakistan, so as to relieve the pressure of Karachi Port. The ship is port-entry from phiti Green River with a length of about 16 nautical miles. The average high tide is 3.1m, the low tide is 0.7m, the average low tide is 3.0m, the low tide is 1.4m, and the average sea surface is 2.05 meters. Only 25000 ton ships are allowed to enter the port in the southwest monsoon season, and 50000 ton ships can be allowed to enter the port in other seasons. There are two docks in the port. Ore and coal wharf is downstream, and a platform is built on the river depression, with 279 meters long. It is allowed to dock 10-12 meters draft boats. The long conveyor belt connects the steel plant behind, which is a special wharf for steel plant. The general cargo terminal is a long breakwater extending to the southwest, with a length of 1400 meters, and 7 berths in the southeast. The water depth of the front is 10-11 meters, which is used for general goods, bulk cargo, container construction and oil terminal. In 1976, the port opened with annual throughput capacity of more than 6 million tons.
