Overview:
A port on the Pacific coast of northwestern Peru.When the west 5 area standard is adopted.The maximum draught is 10.97 meters and the loading density of water is 1025.The tidal range is about 0.91M.The prevailing wind direction is variable.Compulsory pilotage, VHF channel 16 for communication.There are no holidays in the port, and the working hours are 24 hours a day.Port service facilities are: small boats and medical treatment, no ship repair, fueling, dry dock, towing, sewage, fresh water, supplies and repatriation.There is a good shelter in the inner side of the Cape. The entrance of foreign ships is Talara port.Pilotage is compulsory. The pilot picks up the ship at 3.2km away from the wharf, where there are four mooring buoys with a depth of 11.27m.The current of ziguayas is usually up to 12 knots, so the ship is tied to two buoys with the stern facing forward and the bow facing south or North according to the current direction.There is a short breakwater and an electric crane on it.The capacity of oil storage tank on shore is 350000 barrels.Crude oil and light oil are shipped nearby.
