Overview:

      Southern port of Ghana. It is close to the Gulf of Guinea, 56 kilometers northeast of Accra, and connected by highway. The population is 36000. Originally, it was the export port of cocoa and timber produced in swederu area, but declined with the rise of Tema port. It is now a fishing port and a local commercial center.
