French commercial port. It is located in the lower reaches of the Loire River in western France. On the North Bank of its estuary, Saint Nazaire is 184 nautical miles away from port Bordeaux in the south, 250 nautical miles away from port Bilbao, 355 nautical miles away from port Coruna, 962 nautical miles away from gibraltarian, 402 nautical miles away from port Le Havre in the north and 30 nautical miles away from port Nantes in the East; Saint Nazaire has two dock type basins, including 8 wharves and 15 berths. The total length of the wharf line is 2700m. Due to the maximum draught of the entrance gate of 9.3m and the maximum width of 28m, the ship entering the port is limited by the ship lock and can not exceed 25000 DWT. It mainly loads and unload wood, metals, petroleum products, cereals and oilseeds. There is a roll on roll off wharf at the northwest end of the basin. There is a ro Ro Terminal at the north end of 2-4 nautical miles upstream of the port area of Saint Nazaire. There is the port area of montor Dongri, which is mainly composed of oil and natural gas, as well as coal mines and RO ro docks, with a maximum capacity of 120000-140000 DWT vessels.
