Located at the mouth of the Zaire River in the west coast of the Republic of Zaire, on the east side of the Atlantic Ocean, it is the oil export port of Zaire.As early as the late 1960s, oil was discovered along the western coast of Zaire, and the port gradually developed.In the 1970s, the annual output reached 1.2 million tons.It is jointly exploited and operated by Gulf oil company of America, Imperial Oil Company of Japan and kometra oil company of Belgium.Due to the high salt content of crude oil, the country can not process it and export it all.The transportation is mainly by road and waterway.It has a tropical savanna climate with westerly winds prevailing.The annual average temperature is about 25 ℃.The annual average rainfall is about 1500mm, and the rainy season is from October to April.Generally, the tide rise near the berth is about 2.1m.There are mainly two offshore oil berths in the port area, with the maximum water depth of 23m.Pontoon operation, barge supply and loading and unloading crew.The oil barge is equipped with 203.2-406.4mm diameter oil pipelines for loading and unloading.Handling efficiency: 400 tons per hour.The water in the estuary of Zaire is deep, but the navigation lights are abnormal, so it is not suitable for night navigation.The port is mainly oil transportation.In the holidays, in principle, do not work, if you need to work overtime, you must put forward a written request before the working day, the port authority will decide whether to work overtime according to the situation.
