Overview:

      American commercial port.Located in the southeast of the country, north of the east coast of Florida, St. Johns River Estuary.The city of Hong Kong faces the Atlantic Ocean in the southeast.Grain is 152 nautical miles away from Savannah port in the north, 200 nautical miles away from Charleston port in the northeast, 243 nautical miles away from the connection point of Florida Strait in the south, and 1502 nautical miles away from Cristobal port, the north entrance of Panama Canal, via windward Strait.The port area is about 22 nautical miles away from the sea, and the access channel is 23 nautical miles. The width of the entrance is more than 80 meters, and the water depth is 13 meters. The width of the inner channel is more than 30 meters, and the water depth is 11.5 meters.The main dock areas in the port are:

      1. The wharf area of blcunt Island, on the South Bank of the triangle shaped island downstream, has a wharf line of more than 1080 meters, with a water depth of 11.5 meters. It is mainly used for containers, groceries, etc., and there are some other docks nearby.

      2. Talleyrand port area, on the left bank of the river, near the urban area, has a wharf line of 1457 meters, with a front water depth of 11.5 meters, which is used for loading and unloading groceries, vehicles, timber, containers, steel, coffee and oil.

      3.No.8 Street Wharf is 21.5 meters long and 10.3 meters deep at the front. It is used for loading and unloading vehicles.

      4. Conimcdore point wharf is about 840 meters long and 10.3 meters deep. It is used for loading and unloading oil, cement, groceries and chemicals.

      5.The bulk cargo terminal is over 300 meters long and 11.0-11.5 meters deep.There are more than 30 berths in Hong Kong, which mainly export steel products, wood, fuel oil, textiles, paper and pulp, and import sugar, chemicals, cement, newsprint, coffee and bananas.
