The loading density of water is 1000. There is no tidal change. Southwest wind prevails. Pilotage is not compulsory. It can be provided if necessary. VHF channels 6, 12, 14, 16 and 22 are used for communication. Port service facilities include: ship repair, fueling, medical treatment, traction, sewage, fresh water supply, provision, repatriation, dry dock and boat. There are 15 general cargo and bulk cargo terminals in Hong Kong, with a total length of 3354.4 meters and a water depth of 7.6-8 meters. There are special berths for grain, ore, salt and steel. There are also four berths for oil tankers.
