Overview:

      A city of southeast Netherlands in Limburg Province on the Maas river near the German border. The population is 63000 (1981). It was a fortress and commercial center in the middle ages. Now it is the distribution center of agricultural products (vegetables, flowers). There are paper, electronic and optical instruments and other industries. It is one of the biggest vegetable markets now.

      Venlo is the transportation hub in the southeast of the Netherlands. Venlo railway station is the center of the railway network in the southeast of the Netherlands. There are fixed trains leading to Eindhoven, rurmond and nemegen every day. In addition, there are international trains running out of the railway station. The trains pass through kardenkirchen and felsen and arrive at mensingladbach in Germany. There are two expressways connecting fenluo with Germany, through which you can reach Dusseldorf, Cologne and Ruhr in Germany within one hour.
