Overview:

      Mexico is a good deepwater port on the Pacific coast. It is located in the middle of the west coast of the country, at the mouth of the bassas river. It is 150 nautical miles from the port of masanillo in the northwest and 155 nautical miles from the port of Acapulco in the southeast. There is a highway to Mexico City in the northeast, which is a new port built in the 1970s. The ship enters the port from the channel between Emidio island and kayakar island outside the estuary, with a water depth of more than 14 meters. The port area is mainly distributed in the northwest of Emidio island and on both sides of the water area between the two sides of the river mouth on the opposite bank. By the mid-1980s, there was 650 meters of land bank wharf line, with a water depth of 14 meters along the side. It is a steel and ore wharf, and behind it is a Mo steel industrial base. On the northwest coast of Emidio Island, there are 240 meters of container terminal line and 150 meters of general cargo terminal line, and the water depth at the front is 14 meters. The port development plan is to extend the above wharf line to the southwest. In addition, the waters between the island and the mainland to the east of the access channel extend to the northeast, which has good conditions for port construction.
